Dear Members and Colleagues,
Greetings from the IFBLS Board of Directors! It is our pleasure, on this 25th Anniversary of International BLS Day, to recognize the heroic efforts of Biomedical Laboratory Scientists worldwide during these „Testing Times – Biomedical Laboratory Scientists’ Role in the Covid-19 Pandemic„.
We wish to extend our gratitude for all the hard work and dedication you and your colleagues have shown this year in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Together you have demonstrated the key nature of our work as Biomedical Laboratory Scientists, to deliver testing regimes across the world and share best practices for our patients, while demonstrating ingenuity, inventiveness, and collaboration to develop vaccines and the prospect of a safer future.
This year we are excited to share with you greetings from Dr. Michael Ryan, Executive Director WHO Health Emergencies Programme as he gratefully acknowledges the work of Biomedical Laboratory Scientists around the world. Please watch his full video statement below and share widely with colleagues and across your social media networks!
„Thank you again for the opportunity to extend my personal gratitude and that of the World Health Organization to all Biomedical Laboratory Scientists out here – I hope your praises will not only be sung today but every day“.
